Andrea and I had a tag-team set of speeches prepped for a program last weekend.  As she explained in her blog, the night was moving along nicely, but suddenly the power in town went down (as it does from time to time.  Being that it was about 10:45pm, the crowd didn’t want to wait the delay out and left the program..early..  Unfortunately they missed out on my heart-felt comments regarding this special day of the mother..  big thanks to profi who helped get this together, feel free to use google translate if you’d like to know what it means in english:

Señores Autoridades, Queridas Madres Molinopampinoas, Publico Presente…

Muchas Gracias.

  1. The fund raiser went very well and your DVD was a hit! We raised over $2000 for your projects. Wish you could have been here to enjoy the party together. Looking forward to our trip to Peru.
    Love you both,
    Dad

    • That’s great news. We’ll be able to use it pretty to bring hygiene education and improved cook-stoves to approx. 40 families in the area. Would have enjoyed being there with everyone, too bad we couldn’t have gotten a skype session going. Thanks for all the support and encouragement, Dad&Mom and everyone that participated.
