Visiting a pilot plantation outside of town, unfortunately none of the cacao beans were processed, but we did get to break open plenty of achiote which has strong tinted red berries to dye food, and tasty sweet caimito fruit which tastes like a cross between a lychee and pear.. but yet a little slimy.. trust us it’s tasty..20131201-192050.jpg20131201-192151.jpg
