Peru or Bust, one couple's journey to represent USA abroad and aid in ways small and large.

If you are bored with this site, it's not my fault.

It feels like there’s a snake trying to come out of my butt..

Is exactly what I was saying a couple days ago while sitting in a cramped minivan on a drive to Mendoza for materials.  It was soo itchy and squirmy, and I wished they made some kind of anal scrub brush over here in Peru because it really did FEEL LIKE A SMALL ANIMAL was trapped inside my back-end.

Let me back up, here’s what I took a few days earlier:

Albendazol, just one dose of 200mg is all it takes.

Albendazol, just one dose of 400mg is all it takes.

As prescribed by the medicos because fecal samples taken in Lima came back positive for Ascaris lumbricoides, or some type of tapeworm.  I was and am okay having small living creatures inside of me, but what came out of my pant-leg when I finally got to Mendoza was really not very small.  When I was walking around trying to find a bathroom, this fell out of me and onto the street.

Kinda looks like a average earthworm but instead was getting its nourishment from my stomach and intestinal material.  What a bum..  the worm that is..

  1. Wow… Eddie!! Thanks for sharing. That would be a good way to lose weight. You could make that the next big Diet Fad in the States. How long was that thing inside you?

      • The thing stopped moving within a few minutes after coming out of my digestive system.. now it’s just pretty boring. I think I’ll have to get rid of it sooner or later, and unfortunately it probably won’t make it through customs.

      • You could put it in a bottle of Tequila as the worm… to make it past customs….
